Insulation Tanks

Short Description:

Fiberglass insulation tanks are specially designed to keep a relative constant temperature. The insulation materials are PU, foam, etc. While after the insulation, apply fiberglass or other suitable materials to cover and protect the insulation.

Size: DN500mm – DN25000mm or as per customer’s sizes

Should insulation be required, it is a simple task to equip the tanks with a 50mm PU foam layer covered by a 5mm FRP layer. This method of insulation produces a K value of 0.5W/m2K. If needed the thickness can be adjusted, for example to 100mm PU foam (0.3W/m2K). But the thickness of insulation is generally to be 30-50mm, while the thickness of outer protection cover can be 3-5mm.

FRP tank is strength higher than that of steel, casting iron, plastic and so on.

Therefore, by combining the insulation and FRP, FRP insulation tank has both FRP's and insulation's performance, such as high strength, corrosion resistance, light weight, and thermal keeping, etc.

Benefits includes:

  • 100% resistant to any kind of weather
  • Easy to apply at the factory; no additional on-site costs
  • Cost-effective

With long life and low maintenance cost, this kind of product is widely used in many industries including but not limited to:

  • Food fermentation & brewing;
  • Hot spring water treatment;
  • City and factory heating system;
  • Chemical water and vapor;
  • Metallurgy;
  • Paper and pulp;
  • Other heat medium application.

Main standards we can follow:

  • ASME RTP-1   •  ASTM D3299   •  ASTM D4097   •  BS EN 13121
