Zulu Dual laminate FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) combines the outstanding strength of FRP with the high chemical resistance of a thermoplastics inner shell.
Combining the strength of FRP and the chemical compatibility of plastics provides customers with a superior alternative to costly metal alloys and rubber-lined steel.
Choice of thermoplastic inner shell materials allows a wide range of chemical resistance and operating conditions to be accommodated.
The liner is thermoformed and welded after which the FRP is chemically or mechanically bonded to from a high-performance dual laminate finished product. The adhesion between liner and FRP is more than 7N/mm2.
The added cost of this type of construction is justified by greater service life, lower maintenance costs and higher process productivity.
Fiberglass dual laminate products include dual laminate pipes, fittings, tanks, vessels, scrubbers, etc.
For dual laminate tanks, vessels, scrubbers and similar products, carbon ribbons (conductive material) are used behind the weld lines so that the integrity of the products can be proven by spark testing throughout their working life.
Compared with common plastic or steel products, the dual laminate fiberglass products:
- Can be used at higher temperatures
- Do not suffer external corrosion from exposure to industrial environments
- Light weight
- Have a far wider range of corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance
Therefore, dual laminate products are now hot products in many industries such as chemicals, food, pharmacy, mining, environmental protection, offshore oil and gas, etc. Many customers specify Dual Laminate products for operating conditions requiring high chemical resistance and strength.
Jrain is able to supply wide range of dual laminate products, producing at workshop or at customer’s project site.
