Finally, the gate is a crucial part of any fence. Without one, there is obviously no way to access the pool area you’ve secured. A wrought iron pool gate will be 4 to 5 feet wide and made to match the height of its surrounding fence. To maintain uniformity, iron gates feature the same design as the fence’s panels with many of the same dimensions: 1-inch square railings, pickets sized according to the fence, and a 4-inch spacing.

The best construction method for iron fence is one that is strong and looks good from both sides.  Below are a couple of photos showing how we build our Stronghold Iron fence with a punched rail and fully welded construction at the picket-to-rail intersection and for the decorative finial tip.  You can see the picket (upright) goes through the middle of the punched rail for a strong connection and clean look from both sides of the fence:

Spacer Bar: A component that separates the two glass panes in a double-glazed window. It may be filled with desiccant to absorb any moisture between the panes.

The most common component of contemporary wrought iron fences is the tubing made of iron or steel. The tubes are worked into forms by machines, and the manufacturers also utilize devices to produce the decoration traditionally used with a wrought iron fence. The lines are welded together to form wall panels, resulting in a robust iron fence.
