In addition to durability and versatility, cast iron griddle also offer health benefits.  Cooking with cast iron adds trace amounts of iron to your food, which can be beneficial for people with iron deficiencies.  The even heat distribution of these   Cast griddle pans also means you can cook with less oil, resulting in healthier, tastier meals.

There are various hypotheses as to how this cookware got the name “French Skillet”:

    When using a cast iron griddle plate, it's important to properly maintain it to ensure its longevity and performance.  Clean the griddle with hot water and a scrub brush after each use, avoiding soap, which can remove seasonings from the griddle.  Dry the cast iron griddle plate thoroughly and apply a light coat of oil to prevent rust.

Copper core frying pans have a copper exterior for excellent heat conductivity and a stainless steel interior for durability and easy cleaning. They are ideal for cooking high-heat dishes, sauces, and eggs. However, they are expensive and prone to discolouration with prolonged use.

However, non-stick frying pans have a limited lifespan, and the non-stick coating can wear off over time, leaving the pan prone to scratching and peeling. They also cannot be used with metal utensils, as the metal can scratch the non-stick coating.

As the market shifted towards non-stick PTFE-coated pans, the design of frying pans began to change. Stainless steel frying pans with non-stick coatings are now readily available.

While there are instances where you can interchange these two pans, for more specific tasks, there aren’t any.
